TEK TO NIK Architects has had a few exhausting and informative days. We had numerous discussions about the new requirements in architecture that are emerging worldwide. Building efficiency, the design of liveable cities, sustainable building materials such as natural stone and aesthetic issues were among the key topics. During a panel discussion, Manfred Wenzel presented TEK TO NIK’s views on these issues using the example of Zeil 111 (picture below). The building attracted particular attention due to its innovative use of glass. We also enjoyed the conversation with Frankfurt’s Lord Mayor Feldmann, who, as in the previous year, attended MIPIM to represent the city of Frankfurt, talk to investors and find out about the latest trends in urban planning (pictured above together with Nour Toumeh and Andreas Derkum from TEK TO NIK Architekten).
