Bauarbeiten 2025 abgeschlossen sein.
Project developer OrT Group has now announced that building permission has been granted for the MAIN YARD project in Frankfurt’s Allerheiligenviertel district. The first partial building permits were already granted in 2021/22. According to the current schedule, construction work should be completed in 2025.
On the site between Lange Straße, Allerheiligenstraße and Breite Gasse, approximately 40,000 square meters of above-ground gross floor area are planned for apartments, a hotel, serviced apartments, restaurants and shops, creating a complete neighborhood with its own underground parking garage along a new street running through the area. Since the beginning of the planning more than 10 years ago, the goal of the city, the developers and our design was to realize a socially integrative architecture for a diverse residential population at this particularly challenging location – high inner city quality of life through high aesthetic planning quality.
The newly created street is safe and traffic-free. Concepts of this kind have long been familiar from Barcelona (« Superblock ») and many Dutch and French cities. We believe that the continuous green lane can be an example for Frankfurt or other German cities with regard to the transformation to a climate-friendly city.
There are many reasons to be happy about the building permit and to hope for its quick finalization. TEK TO NIK Architekten would like to thank the relevant authorities for their excellent cooperation and the clients for the trust they have placed in us.
