CUBE INSPIRE is a magazine for ‘exclusive living and modern architecture’. It is published regionally in ten German metropolitan regions with four issues per year. The editorial team focuses on contemporary architecture with a high awareness of quality and architecturally sophisticated aesthetics. Issue 2/24, which has just been published for the Rhine-Main region, focuses on roofs and façades and features our TAURUS project (Biebergasse, Frankfurt am Main) on its front page.
For CUBE, TAURUS is an example of how sophisticated commercial construction can be worthwhile in every respect. The building enlivens the heart of Frankfurt’s inner city with a sculptural, deep natural stone façade which, despite its independence, blends in with the established ensemble around Rathenau-Platz, adding value and urban vitality. The complex has two equally important addresses. Biebergasse at the front and Börsenplatz at the somewhat narrower rear, where the new building with a façade that varies in colour and form also blends into the neighbouring buildings in such a planned way that the neighbours here also gain in value thanks to the new impulse.
Anyone who wants to compare the pictures in the CUBE magazine with reality can now do so. Work on the facades has been nearly completed. The sole tenant will be Citibank, which has already secured the entire building until 2022. Moving in is now planned for the next few months.
