The Adam
Revitalization of a high-rise office building in Frankfurt am Main, Hafenstrasse
The high-rise building near Frankfurt’s main railway station was completed in 1976 and is classified as a high-rise building (special building). The property was built for Deutsche Bundespost and was last used by Commerzbank as a trading centre. It has been vacant since 2019. The location offers unrivalled access to all modes of transport in all directions.
We comprehensively rethought the use options for the gutted steel-reinforced concrete skeleton as part of the revitalization. The plan, which will be approved in 2022, will rearrange the technical systems inside the building and create space for new, infinitely variable floor plans. Modern, energy-efficient office space of new-build quality will be created on all floors. The new energy-efficient façade signals the building’s modernity and has a revitalizing effect on the surrounding area. Once construction is complete, the building will aim to achieve LEED Gold certification.
The new users will love their new workstations. Whether it’s the high-quality air conditioning and ventilation system, the new toilets, the lobby with cafeteria or the roof terrace reserved exclusively for tenants, employees will feel comfortable and secure. A spectacular highlight is the Sky Lounge on the two upper floors – a unique location for events with customers or the media.
