21st century architecture resembles applied research in the fields of complexity.
We preceive a deep connection between the design and the construction of buildings. Projects are particularly successful once this balance between the theoretical and the practial is achieved. We must keep all aspects of the working process within view and our control. This implies the full understanding, solution and implementation of all tasks related to the design of buildings. TEK TO NIK has been involved in this subject matter for more than 20 years.
Our achievement: More than 3.000 projects consisting of refurbishments, conversions, extensions, new buildings and urban design. Thereby we have gained competence in almost the entire spectrum of architectural tasks.

Thinking ahead in developing the city.
TEK TO NIK was founded in 1999 as an architectural practice by the architect-designer Manfred Wenzel. Nowadays more than 50 architects and construction professionals from 9 different countries work on behalf of TEKTONIK.
A pledge for quality is at the heart of our practice. Our goal are solutions that stand the test of time. Our buildings should prove themselves in the eyes of passers-by and most certainly in the daily use by its occupants regarding all aspects of durability, sustainability, economic benefit and urban diversity.
With the help of this approach, we plan and implement socially and ecologically sensitive buildings. Buildings that reflect the city – administrative buildings, production buildings, public buildings, apartment buildings and retail.
Sustainability has been a guiding aspect for us for more than 15 years.
For us sustainability is not a facile phrase. Resource and energy savings in new buildings as well as refurbished projects have been an integral part of our design almost since the beginning of our practice.
For example, the refurbishment of the Triton Building (2010/2012) in Frankfurt’s Financial District. It became one of the first administrative buildings in Germany to have been awarded with a gold certification according to DGNB, the German Sustainable Building Council.
Furthermore, our design of natural stone facades also stems from the impetus to lower CO2 emissions. In 2021 we celebrated the opening of our first completely recycable building constructed entirely in timber.
Architectural Quality:
Protecting the climate, saving resources and caring for our environment should not prevent us from the design of excellent architecture. On the contrary, we are convinced that one of the main architectural challenges of today is to increase the awareness of what built quality really consists of, and what not.
