This year’s ceremony of the German Design Award took place on January 26th and TEK TO NIK Architects were awarded for their project MAIN YARD in Frankfurt’s Allerheiligen district. The award is given in two categories, “Excellent Architecture” and “Conceptual Architecture”. We are also delighted for the committed and courageous project sponsor, the OrT Group.
The German Design Award is organized by the German Design Council, which was founded in 1953 as a federal foundation. The renowned institution can now look back on a 70-year history in which it has repeatedly promoted and strengthened important impulses. The German Design Council is one of the world’s leading competence centers for excellent communication and brand design. This year’s 35-member jury focused on the theme of transformation, as has increasingly been the case in recent years. This is reflected in our winning design for MAIN YARD, which literally creates a new, invigorating way into a “lost” neighborhood – a way into the city of the future.
